The international ERASMUS Plus project InveSTigating As Researchers at School is a GAME – STARS GAME is also taking place in Slovenia. In the first year, one school participated with the project partner Eda 6 in the implementation of this interesting project.
Eda 6 has conducted a workshop with students in January 2022, followed by the implementation session in May 2022, where students from the Elementary School Strocja vas played with the digital escape room STARS GAME.
Students of the 7th grade of this elementary school, which is placed in the northeast part of Slovenia near Ljutomer, played with the digital escape room for 2 hours with great interest. The implementation took place as part of their natural science curriculum but was quite different from their usual school practice. Students were first divided in several groups by their teachers and then distributed the passwords to enter the digital escape rooms on school computers. They entered the four STARS GAME escape room itineraries, which are all available in Slovenian.
Students, who were 12 to 13 years old, and their teachers, had a lot of fun discovering the paths of scientists and research methods. Some of the students played in the digital escape room also afterwards. The project partner Eda 6 continues to be in contact with the school teachers, who were very interested in using the digital escape room also in different classes for other students.
